Society: People: Quotations

Pages

[ history ]

This site lists quotations allegedly written or spoken by individuals that have encapsulated a concept or illustrated some aspect of the human or natural world, both real and imagined.

Efforts are made to ensure that these quotes are both accurate and part of the public record. Where the context and time of the first utterance or publication of the quotation is known it will be sourced. Where the quote has been found in a publication this is referenced unless the quote is widely published in many sources, particularly within the Internet.

Unfortunately for many quotes their original source appears to have been unrecorded in many publications and URLs or they have been plagarised, misquoted or exist unreferenced. The Open Site Encyclopedia apologises for listing any quotations that do not note either the original creator or its original source (where this is known).

The editors of the Open Site Encyclopedia Project are eager to provide as much detail as is known for any of the quotations it lists. If advised the Open Site Encyclopedia will update source and reference information should you wish to make such a submission.
